Valle Verde’s Art Docent Program is designed to teach children the elements and principles of art and art history. Arts learning helps kids develop many fundamental characteristics they will need as adults, including creativity, motor skills, confidence, discipline, visual learning, decision making, perseverance, focus, risk-taking and open-mindedness. As a response, the PTA funds Valle Verde’s Art Docent Program. Led by parent volunteers, the PTA brings art education to each class with grade-appropriate projects and curriculum.
