VIKING FUN RUN/WALK
What is the Viking Fun Run/Walk?
Each fall Valle Verde students participate in the Viking Fun Run/Walk. During this fun-filled event students will learn about the importance of physical activity and will set individual Fun Run/Walk goals. Students can raise funds by getting individual sponsors. These are flat donations (tax-deductible), not per lap. TK-3rd Grade Fun Run proceeds go to the PTA General Fund. 4th and 5th Grade proceeds go toward the 5th Grade Activity Fund.
When is it?
Typically the last Friday in September during regular school hours. The 2019/2020 date is Friday, September 27th.
How much does it cost?
Participation is free. Sponsors can donate any amount. Prizes will be awarded for the most donations collected.

FALL CARNIVAL
What is the Fall Carnival?
The Fall Carnival is a fun-filled event that draws people from all over the neighborhood. This weekend event features a costume parade, carnival games, raffle prizes and carnival-themed food and treats. In addition to being a great way to celebrate Halloween, this is an important fundraiser for our school.
When is it?
The Fall Carnival is typically held the last Saturday in October. The 2019/2020 date is Saturday, October 26th.
How much does it cost?
Carnival games, rides, and food require tickets. If purchasing in advance, wristbands for unlimited games run $25 and individual tickets are $0.50/ticket for use on concessions and all games (carnival items range 1-8 tickets). After 10/15, wristband prices go up to $30 and individual tickets increase to $1/ticket. Raffle tickets cost $1 each for smaller items and $5 each for big-ticket prizes. New in 2019 is the Golf Ball Drop - purchase 1 ball for $10, 3 balls for $25, 6 balls for $40 or 20 balls for $100 for a chance to win $1,000. Admission to the 5th Grade Haunted House is extra. Pricing is subject to change.

VALLE VERDE SPRING FLING
What is Spring Fling?
Spring Fling is our annual Auction and Dinner Event for parents, family and friends of Valle Verde. The largest fundraising event of the year, the evening consists of silent and live auctions, raffles, games, dinner, entertainment and dancing.
When is it?
Spring Fling is typically held on a Saturday evening in March or April. The 2019/2020 date is March 28, 2020.
How much does it cost?
In year’s past, tickets have ranged from $80 to $85 per person. Pricing is subject to change.

Auction Donations
We are continuously seeking big ticket items for our auction. Hotel stays, excursions, theme parks, travel packages, airline tickets, sports memorabilia, behind-the-scenes tours, spa days, weekend getaways, ski trip bundles, work perks, concert tickets, vacation homes, brewery or winery tours, sports tickets and more. MINI FLING
What is the Mini Fling?
This event is just for the kids and is a blast! We serve dinner, play games and end with a dance party. This event sells out every year (only 170 spots available).
When is it?
Mini Fling is typically held the last Friday in April. The 2019/2020 date is Friday, April 24th.
How much does it cost?
In year’s past, tickets are $35 per student and we have a special Mini-Fling Deal for $50 that admits 1 student plus raffle tickets. Raffle tickets are $1 each. Pricing is subject to change.
