Lace up those shoes and bring out the Viking spirit! The Viking Fun Run is a fun, high-energy day that brings our school together while raising critical funds to support Valle Verde students.
Our 2026 goal is $100,000!
There is no required fundraising amount, and students can participate in the Fun Run regardless of whether their family fundraises. Every family that chooses to participate in fundraising — and every donation, big or small — helps move our Vikings closer to our schoolwide goal.

Register your student through PledgeStar. Have more than one Viking? You can register your children together.
2. ADD YOUR PEOPLE
Add family, friends, neighbors and other supporters you'd like to invite.

Send your student's fundraising page by email or text, or share it on social media.

Students who raise $250 or more by Sunday, September 13 will earn the official RUN WILD Viking Fun Run T-shirt!

It takes every Viking to sail this ship!
Some students may raise more, some may raise less, and some families may choose not to fundraise at all. There is no required fundraising amount.
What matters is coming together as a school community and seeing what our Vikings can accomplish!
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
TK–3RD GRADE
Funds raised by students in TK–3rd grade benefit the Valle Verde PTA Viking Fund, which supports programs and resources not covered by MDUSD, including:
Instructional Aides
Reading intervention and support
Garden education
Physical education programs
Technology and software
Classroom resources
Other programs and resources that directly benefit Valle Verde students
4TH–5TH GRADE
Funds raised by students in 4th and 5th grade benefit their grade level’s 5th Grade Activity Fund, helping support outdoor education camp and graduation activities and expenses. Any funds raised over their graduation activities expenses help offset camp cost.

Students will run with their grade levels during the school day while families, teachers and volunteers cheer them on.
2nd/3rd Grade 8:30-9:30
TK/K/1st 10:00-11:00 (TK is in the kinder play yard)
4th/5th Grade 11:15-12:00
VOLUNTEER WITH US!
Parents and caregivers are a huge part of what makes the Viking Fun Run such a fun day for our students.
We'll need help with everything from setup and supplies to activity stations and cheering on our runners.
